Greetings, fellow mountain biking enthusiasts and adventure seekers!

I am excited to share my journey as a mountain biker and race organizer, and I invite you to join us for the thrilling 2024 event in Nepal’s adventure capital—Pokhara.

Over the past 15 years, I have learnt from incredible mentors, partners, and friends in the mountain biking community. This journey has been transformative, shaping my personal growth and the development of mountain biking events in Nepal.

The Pokhara Enduro Race originated from the Yak Ru Enduro Race, which I co-founded with Chimi Gurung, an exceptional athlete and community leader. Our early races on the high-altitude trails of Manang were exhilarating but primarily suited to extreme athletes. Recognising this, we created the Pokhara Enduro Race in 2019—a more inclusive event aimed at welcoming riders of all ages and skill levels.

In 2020, we invited trail builders from around the world to collaborate with local experts in designing the trails for the Pokhara Enduro Race. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, we persevered. By 2023, our dreams became a reality, thanks to the continued support of our community, local government, and countless volunteers.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, especially the leaders and residents of Arba village. Your support has been the cornerstone of our success. The race has not only put Mahaprabhudham, Arba, on the map as a mountain biking destination, but it has also spurred local development. New resorts and infrastructure have contributed to the village’s growth and economic prosperity.

As we prepare for the 2024 race, we are focused on enhancing every aspect of the event. We are committed to improving race organization, ensuring safety, and providing an exceptional experience for all participants. Our goal is to have 100 riders from 15 countries, and I’m excited to report that, as I write this, we already have participants registered from 12 nations.

To all the riders who have joined us on our trails in previous races, your enthusiasm, spirit, and camaraderie have been the heart of this event. Your feedback and passion have driven us to continuously improve. And to our dedicated volunteers, your hard work and commitment have been key to creating unforgettable experiences for everyone involved.

For newcomers, the Pokhara Enduro Race is more than a competition. It’s an opportunity to challenge yourself, build lasting friendships, and embrace Nepal’s natural beauty and hospitality. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or new to the sport, our trails and community are ready to welcome you.

Come and feel the excitement of racing through beautiful forests, enjoy the warmth of Nepali hospitality, and experience the joy of pushing your limits. Our motto remains the same: Come, play, and have fun.
